Sedans and coupes are ok, but I want the hatch. You know, hauling family, hauling stuff, hauling ass...

I’ll have a trade-in with fresh paint and tires. They do have a guaranteed trade-in value program. I’ll have to look into this.

The current Impreza was released 5 years ago, so it is about time.

I heard a while ago that the hatchback was coming back with this generation Impreza, now that it’s moving to the new Global Platform. The sedan would hang around on the current platform, since it’s still fairly early in it’s lifecycle.
Of course, this was from a “leaked” document, and I have no idea of its validity. I wouldn’t expect to see a WRX hatchback revealed before L.A. this year, if it is going to happen.

I guess you're right, just seems like not long ago.

early lunch break? helps that the dealer is only a couple miles from my office

Lucky you. It’s 20 minutes to the dealer for me. That isn’t so bad, but I’m not sure I can escape for an hour and 40 minutes.

Oh man! If things go as planned I can start to actually save money here in a couple months for a deposit. The used 2012ish hatchback WRX/STi are all still hovering right around brand new price even with 50k miles.

I received an e-mail from Subaru hawking the service. I’m not really interested unless they are building a new WRX hatch.

I think it’s hilarious, because the WRX hatch is the one car that enthusiasts don’t just say they want built. They actually go out and buy them. But apparently Subaru doesn't like money.

It’s killing me. I really, really want to rid myself of the wrecked WRX (once it’s actually fixed), but I really, really want a WRX. It doesn’t make sense to get rid of a two-year-old hatch just to spend money on another two-year-old hatch.
The Powershift in Steve's '12 Ford Focus killed it's TCM (under warranty!)

A new Impreza, eh? Are they going to include a real engine, rather than a hamster on a wheel, this time? I’d like to see a 6 speed stick too.
I think a WRX hatch is a foregone conclusion this time around. If they ignore their most loyal fans *again*, they’re truly idiots.
